When I was asked to photograph Melanie and Brandon’s wedding I was unbelievably overjoyed. I’ve been practicing photography for almost 3 years now, but I wasn’t sure that weddings were something I wanted to get into. Too much pressure, too much responsibility, too much to remember to capture in just a few short hours! I mean, what would I do if I messed it up??? It’s not like a family session on the farm that you can recreate if you had too! Whew…I didn’t know if I could hack it. But this sweet bride looked at my past work and thought she’d give me a chance. What an honor. We started with her bridals…and did you see them…she was glowing…and then these two entrusted ME to capture one of the most precious times in their lives; their wedding day! We met again, discussed the details, and their personalities immediately put me at ease. I could not wait for the day to come! They had close friends and family attend, shared their vows, cried together, laughed together, fellowshipped and got out of there as quick as they could (HA!) to begin their honeymoon and their lives together. Some of my favorite shots were of them just interacting quietly together, without anyone looking (but me). You could feel the love and friendship they share, the laughter between them and the excitement to finally be man and wife. I pray that God blesses the two of you as you start on this incredible path and journey together. Thank you, thank you, forever thank you, for trusting me and allowing me to be a part of it. ❤ ❤
